Dale Tracy

Classically Trained, Singing Expert, Musical Performer


Dale Tracy began his career in Los Angeles under the guidance of renowned Voice teacher Seth Riggs whose students include Barbara Streisand and Michael Bolton. He also studied Classical
Singing at Chapman University in California.

He played the roles of Caliph in “Kismet”, Matt in “The Fantastiks” and Tony in “West Side Story before he made his Operatic Debut as Tamino in Mozart’s “Die Zauberflöte”. German Audiences know him best for his portrayal of the Phantom in Andrew L. Webbers “Phantom of the Opera”. It was the music of Andrew L. Webber that brought the American Tenor to Germany for the
premiere of the smash hit where for five years he played the roles of the Phantom and Raoul. For Jack Wildhorn, the composer of the Classic “Jekyll and Hyde” Dale performed the role in the German Promotional Tour with appearances on television and workshops.
Alongside his Stage Career he has also worked for the studios of such well known producers as George Lucas and Disney Pictures and was heard on the soundtracks to such films as “Narnia”
and “Star Wars”.

Dale Tracy is sought after as a Voice Teacher in Germany. Currently he holds positions in Hamburg at Joop van den Ende Academy, Bühnen Akademie, Stage School and with Pamela
Falcon’s New York Voice Academy in Düsseldorf. As a teacher, Dale Tracy is able to quickly determine a students strong and weak points and to create a course of study that will not only
increase their vocal ability but their self confidence. Particular attention is given to proper
breathing technique, strengthening the bridges of the voice and clear pronunciation. The resulting product is a balanced and secure voice which is able to sing expressively with less strain and greater longevity.

Dale Tracy has concertized extensively throughout Europe and the United States most recently appearing onstage at Ernst Deutsch Theatre in Hamburg, Germany with “Sänger Krieg”. He has been seen on the stage of the San Francisco Opera as soloist where he was an ensemble member.



Dale Tracy studierte die Speech Level Singing Methode unter Star-Dozent Seth Riggs und Klassischem Gesang an der Chapman University in Kalifornien. Er spielte unter anderem in Kismet und West Side Story bevor er sein Operndebut als Tamino in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte gab. Zuletzt war Dale Tracy sechs Jahre lang an der San Francisco Opera als Solist zu sehen. Für die Deutschlandpremiere des Musical Welterfolgs Das Phantom der Oper holte Sir Andrew Lloyd Weber den Amerikaner nach Deutschland, wo er fünf Jahre lang die Rolle des Phantoms in der Neue Flora Hamburg übernahm. Für Komponist Jack Wildhorn interpretierte er außerdem die Rolle des Jekyll und Hyde in der Promotion-Tour zur Deutschlandpremiere.

Als Dozent unterrichtete Dale Tracy vielen Jahren mit Seth Riggs zusammen in seinem Los Angeles Studio als Associate Teacher. Er ist an Hamburg’s führenden Musicalschulen der Joop van den Ende Academy und der Stageschool tätig . In über vierzig Jahren Bühnenerfahrung entwickelte er die Technik des Stimm Yoga für Kernfesten Stimmsitz mit geführten Übungen für Profis und Studienanfänger.
